For more than 55 years, Leeds Bradford Airport has provided an international gateway to and from Yorkshire and is currently the 15th busiest airport in the UK, with around four million annual passengers.
Leeds Bradford Airport’s vision is to serve the region as a truly outstanding Airport and to profoundly change the perception and reality of customer experience for passengers as it aims to increase this figure to seven million by 2030.
In order to achieve this increase in passenger numbers Leeds Bradford Airport has unveiled plans for a brand new terminal building with a scheduled opening date of 2023, the existing terminal would remain operational until the new building is completed.
A new Customer Experience management team at the Airport are setting about transforming the experience of the passengers who use the Leeds Bradford Airport as it builds its customer base towards it future passenger target.
Amongst its first initiatives to improve the experience this new team decided they had to replace all the tired looking, damaged and faulty Queue Management Barriers with one style and finish from a single vendor. After an extensive review process the team chose Barriers R us.

Dave Brown said of Barriers R us; we decided we needed to update our passenger guidance barriers, we’ve had many years of good service from them and now they were starting to show the hallmarks of time. We went out to our normal suppliers and searched google to find some new ones.
We came across Barriers R us as much by reputation as their simple to use website, but I decided to talk to them as I had a few questions and I also wanted to have our logo printed on the tapes.
I found the guys there extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and more important reassuring. I was a little concerned as their online pricing was already lower than I had been paying. To alleviate my concerns; they delivered a sample the next day.
I don’t need to say anymore on that as after a few calls backward and forward and a bit of arm wrestling on my part. I ordered 250 units with the longer webbing, all printed clear and concise with our logo. Using the 3.4 metre webbing we were able to replace 400 units with the 250 we purchased.
